Stepping into Your Destiny – Karen Austin

I was recently meditating on the scriptures in Exodus when the Lord was inviting Moses to step into his destiny. During his day-to-day tasks, tending his father-in-law’s flock, he saw a burning bush which was not consumed by the fire. Scripture says that Moses turned aside to look at this strange sight. It was out of this burning bush, which was aflame with the fire of God, which Moses was told to take off his sandals because it was holy ground. Taking off his sandals could be viewed as taking off the residue of his natural walk. As he was stepping onto this holy ground in the presence of the Lord, he was also stepping into his holy assignment. God was now calling him to walk in a place of spiritual authority which would cause the people of Israel to be set free from their four hundred years of bondage in Egypt. God said he was sending Moses to bring His people out from the control of Pharaoh and into the land that He promised them years ago.

Moses had all sorts of excuses as to why he could not fulfill this enormous call. He asked God, “Who am I that I am to go to Pharaoh?” In response to Moses’ doubt that the Israelites would believe and follow him, the Lord said to tell them, “The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ Exodus 3:15. Moses then attempted to reason with God that the people still wouldn’t believe him. It was then the Lord asked him to throw down the staff that was in his hand. “Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it [emphasis mine]. Then the Lord said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand. “This,” said the Lord, “is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.” Exodus 4:4-5. There were other signs that God gave Moses to answer his objections and his fears. These signs would assure Moses of these two things: 1) this was his destiny 2) the Lord would be with him. The Father had full confidence in Moses to fulfill his assignment. All He needed was Moses’ obedience.

Moses did exactly what I would have done…RAN!!!! If you know me very well at all, you know that I hate snakes! It was here that Moses had to confront his fear. Can you imagine being afraid of snakes and being told to pick it up by its tail??? Moses first ran in fear, but then in obedience to the word of the Lord, he overcame his fear and picked up the snake. This was not only a test for Moses to conquer his fear, but was also a lesson on the faithfulness of God to supernaturally protect him when he followed His instructions. He saw that God would back up what He told him to do.

You see, the safest place that you can be is in the will of the Lord. It doesn’t mean everything will be perfect. It does mean that the Father will protect you and lead you to a place of victory as you follow the leading of Holy Spirit. Psalm 91 is a Holy Spirit safe zone that we can live from if we are obedient to these two verses: 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” – and – 91:2 “I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” It is in the dwelling and in the saying what we believe (what is in alignment with His word) that we are protected. I encourage you to read Psalm 91, especially in the Passion Translation.

So I ask you today, what is it that the Lord is asking you to do? You may have been in the secret place with Him or in the midst of your daily obligations that you heard His voice and prompting you of an assignment He has for you. It may be that you know what you are called to do, but ran as Moses did. It may not be to deliver a nation. It may not even be to deliver a city. But whatever He is asking you to do, it is for the expansion of the Kingdom of God!

As I have said previously, you were chosen to live in these exciting final days. We have entered the time of His determined end-time events that are taking place rapidly. I encourage you to take your fears, insecurities or whatever else you envision standing in the way of your destiny to the Father. He will encourage you and bring you truth. When He calls you to fulfill a particular thing in the earth, which He has every one of us, He will be faithful as He was Moses. He will give you everything we need and will empower you beyond your own abilities and talents to complete the divine assignment. He wants to set you aflame with the fire of God. He has full confidence that you can fulfill your destiny. All He needs is your obedience.

“Who is this coming out of the wilderness leaning upon her Beloved?” Song of Solomon 8:5

Now that we are close to coming out of this time of hiddenness, I have been asking of the Lord. “How do You desire that we, Your Bride, come out of this time? What truths are we to have learned? What do You desire to see in Your Bride that wasn’t there before?” I have heard several others saying they do not want to waste this time we have been given to come away with Him….to allow Him to works in us what He desires.

While I believe there are individual lessons that we have learned in this time, as well as revelations of things that were in our hearts that were not pleasing to Him, I believe that corporately, we have been brought to another way of seeing. Seeing what is really important in our lives. Seeing how we have put “doing” things for Him above just “being” with Him in the secret place. Seeing where we have put doing the church routine above desiring Him over anything else in our gatherings. Seeing our need for family and one another. Seeing how valuable and precious life really is. Seeing that the things we ran to before that really do not satisfy the longing in our hearts for peace and hope. There is another “seeing” that I am beginning to understand further, but that is for another time.

As I was researching the scripture above, I looked up the Hebrew words in the Strongs Concordance and where available, the root of each. I was surprised to find a deeper meaning to this verse than I previously knew. Stay with me because I found this very interesting to where we are in the timing of God.

The words “is this” means “with me is God”, from the root “eth” meaning “with” as in Genesis 5:22 “and Enoch walked with God…” and “el” meaning “God”. Hebrew meaning for “coming” is “to go up” or “to ascend”. Hebrew for the word “wilderness” is “dabar” which means “to speak”.

So I read this as to say to me, “Who is this (walking with me is God) coming (ascending) from the wilderness (where God spoke with me) leaning (supporting myself only) upon my Beloved”. I believe if we have processed all that He had in His design for each one of us, the world will ask these questions. “Who is this one that is so different from the rest? Who is this one who walks with God and hears Him speaking?” For you see, these ones have ascended from places of complacency, lethargy and being lukewarm to ones totally passionate for Him. These ones totally rely and lean upon this One whom they love.

There is Revelation 4:1 “Come up here” that has taken place in those whose desire is for Him. He has called us to walk in an elevated place, higher that where we have walked before. I truly believe we are an Enoch generation that will walk with God as Enoch did! It will be in this ascended place that He will speak His mysteries and teach us His ways. It is here, as we behold Him, that we will become like Him. My brothers and sisters, it is time to arise and come out of this place of hiddenness and to truly reflect the character and heart of Jesus Christ to the world!

Have we, as His body, learned these things well? Only time, circumstances and trials will reveal. My prayer is that we have. The world is waiting upon us…

Come Up and Cross Over! – Karen Austin

Even though this word was given to me in 2012, it is so applicable to today. You see, the prophetic word has an expanse that is not limited to time. It’s understanding in one season can take on a whole deeper understanding when you are in a different season. As we go from glory to glory, so does our understanding as more revelation is given.

“Know that I have released a “Come Up here” invitation to those who are seeking My heart. Part of what I desire to do is to expand your expectations and cause your faith level to come higher. When you come to Me, you must expect to receive of Me. Every time you come into My Presence, you are changed. You come away with a little more of Myself, My desires planted in your heart. For if you remain and expect to reach only what you have seen from your experiences – you will be setting your faith on much less than what I desire to release in your midst. The majority of My church has set limits on what I can do by only expecting what they have seen or experienced in the past. But there is so much more that shall be released to those who raise their faith bar and come with expectation.

This is the season of crossing over and part of that crossing over is leaving the measuring rod of a “measure” and crossing over into the limitless place of “fullness”. Even the gifts and offices that I gave unto man have remained in the “measure” degree. You shall see My apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers come into fullness. You shall see even gifts of healing, miracles, prophecy come to fullness – and oh, it is because of those who will allow Me to take them into the realms of My glory. It is here that the gifts and the offices leave the place of “measure” and enter “fullness” for when you enter into glory – you enter into the atmosphere of above and beyond what you can even imagine. It is here that the limit that comes from mindsets of man are released. You leave the limiting realm of man and enter the limitless realm of My Spirit. You remain in the “measure” when you only rely upon the anointing levels of your past.

I AM the anointed One and I operated from that realm of fullness. I only did what t I saw My Father do and that “seeing” was from the place of intimacy. It was the anointing operating from the realm of fullness resting upon Me. For I came as a man, void of My Heavenly powers. I had only what is accessible to you on earth. Oh, but I paved the way by the shedding of My Blood and the release of My Spirit unto you, that you too may access this realm of glory… this realm of fullness. Come….enter in…the door has been opened.
